OUR STORY
Founded in 2024, ReFabricated inspires change by meticulously crafting florals from secondhand materials. Through this, ReFabricated educates individuals on the beauty of our Earth and our collective responsibility to protect it by minimising environmental damage.
OUR TEAM
FOUNDER
Hello, my name is Nhung Duong and I am a Vietnamese immigrant student in BC, Canada. With a deep passion for nature and crafts, I've created little felt projects and tailored my clothes since I was a child. Upon realising the impacts of textile waste, I saw a possibility for change, which led to the birth of ReFabricated. Combining a mission for a greener future with a desire to imaginatively upcycle, I hope to share my passions and raise awareness for prominent environmental issues.
PRODUCT MANAGER
Hi, I'm Khairunnisa Putrisuryadi, or you can call me Nissa. I am an international student from Jakarta, Indonesia currently studying in BC, Canada. I enjoy any type of needlework ranging from sewing to embroidery or even felting. Formerly, I fell victim to fast fashion; but, when I gained awareness of the issues surrounding overconsumption within the textile industry, I wanted to make a change within myself and my community. I hope that my contribution to this organisation will make a difference.
OUR MISSION
REDUCE TEXTILE WASTE FOR A GREENER FUTURE
All of our materials are sourced in an environmentally conscious manner, only using secondhand fabrics obtained from the community. By redirecting textiles from waste sites, we minimise the environmental burden that mass fashion production carries with it and simultaneously return life to used textiles with art.
FOSTER COMPASSION AND CONNECTION
We strive to create a positive impact on individuals and nature. In each step taken, we encourage artistic expression and deepen appreciation for the environment by weaving connections between people and our planet.
ENCOURAGE CREATIVE UPCYCLING
In each carefully curated bouquet, we spark imagination by promoting unique ways to repurpose neglected fabrics. Through this, we explore the beauty of our Earth, sustainability, and craft change.
